Whatever your trading card game of choice, exclusive cards are some of the most exciting additions to any collection. Whether they’re limited-time promos or prizes locked behind specific events, there’s always something appealing about owning a card that not everyone can get their hands on. Cyberpunk TCG is no different, and this promo, reserved for certified judges, could become one of the more interesting cards in the game’s early history.

With excitement building for Cyberpunk TCG’s debut expansion, and with the Welcome to Night City chase cards already catching collectors’ attention, I’m sure plenty of you Netrunners are as excited as I am. However, while I’ve been keeping an eye on the cards themselves, I haven’t been quite as clued up on the organised play side of things. To be fair, the same goes for the Pokémon TCG.

Cyberpunk TCG’s new Holophone changes how you’ll play matches
WeirdCo has announced a new companion for the Cyberpunk TCG called Holophone, which will add immersion to your matches in the new trading card game.

That changed when I spotted a new post on the Cyberpunk TCG website explaining its judge program. Naturally, I had to investigate. After all, a new gig in Night City is always worth checking out, especially when there’s an exclusive card involved.

Cyberpunk TCG has three levels of judges, covering local, regional and world-level events. To qualify for Level 1, you’ll need to score more than 85% on the basic judge exam, allowing you to judge local events. It’s a fairly straightforward starting point for anyone who wants to get involved in the game’s organised play scene.

Things become more demanding as you progress. Level 2 judges need relevant experience and a passing result on the regional exam, with certification awarded at the discretion of WeirdCo staff. Level 3 judges can officiate at world-level events and must achieve at least 90% on the relevant exam, alongside prior experience. That final test isn’t available yet, so there’s still some waiting involved for anyone hoping to reach the top tier.

But I’m not here to give you a complete breakdown of the judge programme. I’m here because of the exclusive promo card.

Maman Brigitte Spirit of Death Judge-stamped Cyberpunk TCG promo card

Maman Brigitte – Spirit of Death #037 is available as a promo without the Judge stamp, but the stamped version is reserved for certified judges. The card sits within Cyberpunk TCG’s Nova Rare category, and that additional stamp is what makes this particular version so interesting for collectors. Rather than chasing it through booster packs, you’ll need to get involved with the game’s organised play scene to have a chance of obtaining one.

Considering Cyberpunk TCG is only just getting started, with retail Welcome to Night City booster boxes still on their way to store shelves, it’s an interesting time for an exclusive like this to appear. As more players begin attending events and the game’s community grows, I wouldn’t be surprised to see collectors take a keen interest in the promo. After all, early promotional cards can become particularly interesting pieces of a game’s history.

It helps that Maman Brigitte is a memorable character from Cyberpunk 2077, too. Whether you sided with the Voodoo Boys or decided they deserved everything V got up to, there’s plenty to discuss when it comes to the gang and its leader. Personally, I’m firmly in the revenge camp. Sorry, not sorry.

If you’re interested in becoming a Cyberpunk TCG judge, you can find more details about the programme on the official website. You can also use the Cyberpunk TCG store locator to find local events and see where you might be able to get involved.

Hopefully, you manage to get your hands on one of these promos. And if you do, feel free to send it my way. I mean the actual card, not a picture of it. Thanks.
