Today (20 October 2026) is clearly a day for Cyberpunk fans to revel in the dystopia of Night City’s neon lights. Not only has Edgerunners Season 2 been released, but a new 2077 update was announced, and now the Cyberpunk TCG is getting in on the hype with an Edgerunners-focused set that is scheduled to drop next year.

While we have yet to see the Cyberpunk TCG’s debut set released in stores, there’s no slowing the momentum. Today, the WeirdCo team hosted the Creator Invitational, allowing creators to take part in some matches of the new trading card game, and alongside it came the big reveal.

The Maman Brigitte – Spirit of Death #037 promo features an exclusive Judge stamp, making this Cyberpunk TCG card a particularly elusive addition for collectors.

Cyberpunk TCG: Edgerunners - Burn Bright is the TCG’s second set, but instead of simply joining in on the hype with some new cards, the expansion is putting a spotlight on the visual design that makes the anime so spectacular, with “vibrant artwork that captures the iconic style” of the series.

Not only does it include the weapons, characters, scenes, and, of course, Cyberware featured in the series, but it will also introduce a new tier to the Cyberpunk TCG rarities. Whether that will be higher or lower than the current peak—Iconic Rare —remains to be seen, with the promise that WeirdCo will reveal it “at a later date.”, as said in a recent blog.

Personally, I love this approach, at least at a conceptual level. While I have to see the cards before forming my full opinion, having the art style from the show replicated, instead of adjusting the anime to fit Cyberpunk 2077’s design, will make both sets stand out. I can love the Welcome to Night City chases without having that affect my soon-to-be love for Edgerunners - Burn Bright.

No matter what, Adam Smasher will be a menace in both forms, so that’s fine with me.
